Reflection on the virtual visit on ‘The walled city of Kowloon’

# Based on the article and video, I have learned that Kowloon city used to be a densely populated place. As the population keep growing, the people keep building on top of existing structures. The city is densely built with building without the help of architecture. The buildings in Kowloon are all interconnected and all the activity places are limited. Therefore, the people in Kowloon may have their activity and garbage discarded on the roof top.Besides, the people also have to share the place for different uses like the school and hair salon may converted into gambling halls and strip clubs at night. Although, those all seems terrible but I think the buildings there are the symbolic of age and looks familiar. The design of buildings are potential to be crime-happening but at the same time as the inhabitants were forced to share something, to protect something or to conserve something may makes the relation between people better.  As the relation between people are good, war may not happened or people in a country may united and helping each other may occur in a country. Living in a narrow and concrete city, stress may occur as everyone put their own effort to strive for something, there might be confused and helpless to be 'go big or go home' but at least the warmth of human interaction makes someone stronger.

how important it is the knowledge of built environment and abiding building law to ensure healthy, safe and positive life quality.

# We have to take advantage of the knowledge of build environment to make the inhabitants live comfortable and have the enough space to have every activity like having a living room, dining room or kitchen.

# Besides, a systematic arranged building may given the space needed for someone or just a family to keep their privacy and makes them physically healthy. For example, if a privacy of family are not given might be too hard to educate the children as punishing or scolding a child is known to the neighbours might hurt the self-esteem of a child.

# In addition, abiding building law is essential to keep the landscape of a country looks neat and tidy. These may avoid the citizens from being oppression or unreceptive and encourage them have a positive life quality.

# Lastly, a planned build may reduce problems occurring and reduce the unpleasant things to happen. It reduces the crime rates and maintain the harmony of the country. This may ensure the safety of the inhabitants.

a scene or situation from the references that has given an impact to me and how do i feel about it.

The scene showed the residents carried umbrellas to shield themselves from constantly dripping water pipes above the narrow alleys that really made me feel sympathize with it. It is really unimaginable to bring an umbrella everywhere for passing through the alleys even though it is a sunny day. I hope this problem won't happen again on anyone or any country in this world because it is a really  unnecessary condition to occur and the pipes appear at somewhere unsuitable may cause unexpected accident.
